The ancient texts of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism prophesize that future times would be marked by the arising of many diseases and maladies without name nor cure. It is said that in these times, practitioners can rely on sacred skillful means which were hidden as treasures centuries ago, to relieve these modern sufferings both physical and mental and to gain the ultimate liberation from cyclic confusion within one’s own lifetime.
